Bio Name: Chloe Anne Hughes Year: 6th House: Gryffindor Ten Words: outgoing, flirtatious, tactless, obnoxious, dramatic, loud, uninhibited, shallow, nosy, talkative Chloe is very loud, slightly obnoxious, and quite a bit tactless. She has no real sense of what should or shouldn't be done or said at a particular time, and so she just does what she wants without much concern for the consequences. She also has a penchant for making a mountain out of a molehill. Yes, Chloe can be very dramatic when she wants to be (which is usually all of the time). She exaggerates most things, and often it’s because she well and truly believes that things are more amazing or more devastating than they appear. Sometimes, it’s just to get attention. Growing up the only girl in her family as garnered her a lot of attention over the years, and it's fairly easy to go ignored at Hogwarts if you aren't a considerable bastard or considerably loud and over-the-top. She’s seen all of the poor, misguided students who roam the halls without a purpose, and has decided that she will actively attempt to be noticed on a daily basis by being loud and over-the-top. Ever since she noticed that boys were not only fun to hang around with, but also fun to snog, Chloe has never been the same. She has a nasty habit (though she wouldn’t consider it such) of throwing herself at boys in ways that would definitely not be considered classy. Any romantic relationship is usually a whirlwind one, because Chloe is usually just in it for a bit of fun and nothing long-term. Actually, nearly everything is just a bit of fun to Chloe. Even when something is Dreadfully Awful, it is guaranteed that Chloe will look back on it in a few hours and laugh about it, because the whole situation was Devastatingly Hilarious. Chloe also never really slows down or takes a break. Even if she’s just sitting down she’s still talking about one thing or another, and when she’s up and about it’s even worse. Always throwing herself into conversations or making up rumours (she often claims to know everything about everyone, and when the opportunity arises, will not stop from finding out all of the information about a particularly juicy bit of gossip) about such-and-such, and you can bet that she is quite good at partying. Almost too good, really. Strengths Chloe is very, very honest. Bordering on brutally so, but she believes that it is completely and totally unladylike to be brutal about anything. She doesn’t really see the point of telling lies, so Chloe will quite comfortably state her opinion on a person whether they ask for it or not. She also does a good job of seeing everyone as an equal, even though it’s really just with the guys. Inter-House unity thrives when Chloe is in the company of attractive young men. Chloe is completely and totally herself from the minute she wakes up to the minute she goes to bed, and that she’s quite accepting of her flaws. However, she also doesn’t make any effort to do anything about said flaws, showing that she is fairly resistant to change. She is very unwilling to change for anyone, which can actually be a good thing. As for magical strengths, Chloe is good at Charms. After all, a girl has to know how to make herself look good in the Wizarding world, and what better way to do that than with glamour charms? Honestly. Weaknesses Chloe comes off as seeming shallow and daft, and well…it’s not that she isn’t. Sure, she is a bit deeper than how she appears on the surface, but really she’s just your average girl overly concerned with outward appearances and things of that nature, and she can also be pretty selfish. Intellectual pursuits really aren’t her thing, so if one is looking for deep conversation, it would be better to steer oneself in a different direction. As was mentioned before, Chloe is also pretty obnoxious and tactless. To those that know her and love her it probably isn’t so annoying, but it can be pretty abrasive to those who aren’t quite so accustomed to being out of their shells. Along with the tactlessness, however, comes the problem of Chloe’s never really noticing when she’s hurt someone with her words or actions. Strangely enough, she always thinks that people are making too big a deal about things and not vice versa. Chloe really fails at anything involving plants, potions, numbers, or very shady crystal balls and tea leaves. Basically, any subject that isn’t Charms. It’s not that she doesn’t put forth the effort or what have you, she really truly absolutely sucks at these subjects. Fears Chloe was once afraid that she would be nothing without her wealthy status, but that fear was quickly overcome upon her arrival at Hogwarts and the realization that her status in the Muggle world meant next to nothing there. That fear has been replaced with a new one, and that is the fear of all things Serious. Chloe’s just in it to have fun! She’s just in it to let her hair down and go wild, not to be bogged down by things such as War and Death and Hate Crimes. However, she doesn’t merely just not want to be bothered by them, she is genuinely afraid of and doesn’t know how to handle serious discussion topics. If some horrible tragedy were to happen in her life, she wouldn’t know what to do so she would probably handle it in a dramatic fashion and not actually deal with the thing properly. In fact, when she does have to talk about things like that, she deals with it the only way she knows how: in a completely over-the-top way that almost always ends with Chloe in tears. It’s all very ridiculous, but an overall effective defense mechanism. She is also afraid of any creepy-crawly insect. Anything with more than two legs that is tiny and black and crawls on the ground and Chloe will scream her head off. All right, sometimes it’s a ploy to get the boys to notice her. But most of the time she does not want those disgusting things anywhere near her.
